“ Stopped by El Vino on Fleet Street after a long day in London and it was just what I needed. Cozy atmosphere, great vibe, and a solid wine selection. Just sat back, ordered a bottle, and let the day melt away. Staff were friendly and the whole place has that classic, laid-back charm. Would definitely come back for another relaxing evening. ”
“ We had the most pleasant visit. We ordered port to try, and some olives to snack on. Both were excellent but what really made out visit was Renato (General Manager). He saw our interest in Graham's Port and we got to chatting about the history of the place, gave us a quick tour and told us all about the place. Offered us a couple samples of the Graham's to try but also told us about the Davey's Anniversary Claret. We loved that it is still family run and the enthusiasm that Renato has for the business so of course we bought a bottle to bring home. Thanks so much for making the stop such a memorable and enjoyable one Renato! ”

The womb like room with the glorious cartoons provided the perfect atmosphere for thirty gregarious solicitors and barristers, with plenty of room for more.The wine list is pleasant, broad and reasonable value. “ Spent a lovely hour at El Vino in Fleet Street. It was a quiet Saturday, about 6pm, and for a while I was the only punter. The two barmaids were helpful and chatty which was nice. The place is like a flashback to the 1930s. Although on the street best known as the home of journalists, this is definitely a lawyers pub. The High Court and Inns of Court are just down the road. El Vino is well worth a visit and if you can get in when it’s quiet and absorb the atmosphere, the decor and read a few of the little plaques, you’ll have had a worthwhile time. ”

They have a ‘hidden courtyard’, a little oasis off the noisy Fleet Street. We enjoyed a sharing board and a chilled Picpoul from their Sud de France list. All delicious and served with a smile.
